Joint Crisis Committee

Deliberating on the Ukraine-Russia Conflict

The Joint Crisis Committee is the platform where delegates must think on the spot to propose solutions to international emergencies that could impact millions of citizens. Here, two groups of delegates, namely the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) respectively, must work together to reach a common ground.

A new war has emerged on the horizon as the eight-year-old power rivalry between Russia and Ukraine has escalated into the former invading the latter in February 2022, threatening to alter international relations forever. With Russia intending to reestablish the Soviet Union, Ukraine asserts its autonomy, culminating in a historic bloodbath that shall stir the two nations immensely. As the past World Wars have taught us, wars between nations never lead to peace. Therefore it is crucial for delegates of the two countries to reach a compromise and put an end to this crisis.
