This Committee (SOCHUM) will be engaged in discussing and debating the protection of the land rights of indigenous peoples to avoid exploitation and displacement. The committee will strive to establish international guidelines that provide equitable legal safeguards, secure sustainable land management, and protect indigenous rights from illegal incursion and forced evictions.
